THE SOCIAL MEDIA BILL IN NIGERIA MUST FAIL
« on: December 02, 2019, 07:11:56 AM »
When Politician tries to  limit the rights of their citizens, they use different tactics to bring about laws to restrict rights of their citizens, such is the social media bill, comoflague as bill against hate. There are enough laws in the book to deal with
hateful speech the government is pretending to want to prevent.

Here are Senators who doesn't care about the well being of the society they represent, but most vital to them is their desire to limit rights of Nigeria ,rather than improving lives of the communities they represent.

Those of you that points to China as a model of your internet control should also use their execution  of their  corrupt Politicians as a model, don't also forget their freedom of religion as your model. And let's wait and see whether you will still be advocating for their system of control.
Most of us may not have nothing to say at times, but our
rights to freedom of speech must never be curtailed as this bill is meant to do.Face the more problems that face communities you represent, rather than wasting your time on ways to limit freedom of speech of Nigerians.

Freedom of speech is a God given right and not a government granted right!

There are more clarifications to this bill, for now  I will maintain my silence. The way some of our fellow Nigerians
act in opposing this bill is very discouraging, they have turned this into battle of political parties, rather than safeguarding rights of citizens to free speech.
